Beschreibung
Novastar MRV570-1 Receiving Card, is a high-performance, general-purpose receiving card designed for professional LED display systems. Engineered for stability, flexibility, and superior image quality, it serves as a critical interface between LED controllers and display modules, supporting both parallel RGB and serial data transmission architectures.
A single MRV570-1 can drive LED panels with resolutions up to 512 × 256 pixels at 60 Hz, making it suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor fixed installations. The card features robust hardware design compliant with EMC Class B standards, ensuring excellent electromagnetic compatibility and reliable operation in diverse on-site environments. It also meets RoHS environmental requirements.
The MRV570-1 supports two primary output modes:
- Up to 20 groups of parallel RGB data (ideal for conventional scan configurations)
- Up to 64 groups of serial data (each driving one independent LED strip—horizontal or vertical)
In serial mode, Data1 through Data64 correspond sequentially to rows (top to bottom) or columns (left to right), enabling precise control over fine-pitch or custom LED layouts.
Key advanced features include pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration, which significantly enhance visual uniformity and color accuracy across the entire display surface. Calibration coefficients and module information are stored locally via Module Flash management, ensuring consistent performance even after power cycles.
The card provides comprehensive real-time monitoring capabilities, including:
- Temperature sensing
- Power supply voltage monitoring
- Ethernet cable communication status
- Configuration parameter readback
Additionally, it supports setting a stored static image directly on the receiving card—useful for backup displays or diagnostics during signal loss.
For system integration, the MRV570-1 includes dedicated connectors:
- A 20-pin Module Flash Management connector (J4) for SPI-based flash programming and module identification (pins include SPI_CLK, SPI_MOSI, SPI_MISO, SPI_CS, and CODE0–CODE4)
- Two indicator connectors: a 5-pin (J9) and a 6-pin (J10) header for status LEDs and control buttons (e.g., PWR_LED, STA_LED, KEY+/-)
Visual status feedback is provided via dual indicators:
- Power indicator (red): solid ON = normal power
- Running indicator (green): various flash patterns indicate operational states—such as normal video input (1 Hz flash), no video source (3 flashes per 0.5s), Ethernet fault (1 flash every 3s), or redundancy switchover (8 flashes per 0.5s)
Electrically, the card operates on a DC input voltage of 3.8 V to 5.5 V, with a typical current draw of 0.5 A and power consumption of 2.5 W. It functions reliably in ambient temperatures from –20°C to +70°C and humidity levels of 10%–90% RH (non-condensing).
