Description
NovaStar MRV532 Receiving Card, feature-rich receiving card engineered for professional LED display systems demanding superior image quality, advanced color management, and robust reliability. It serves as a powerful interface between controllers and LED modules, enabling next-generation visual experiences across fixed installations, commercial signage, and high-end rental applications.
A standout capability of the MRV532 is its comprehensive suite of image enhancement technologies. It supports 18bit+ grayscale processing, dramatically improving low-brightness smoothness and eliminating gray-level loss. The card also features full HDR support, including HDR10 (SMPTE ST 2084/2086) and HLG, for greater dynamic range and realism. Advanced color management allows selection of standard color spaces (Rec.709, DCI-P3, Rec.2020) or custom gamuts for precise color reproduction.
Further visual refinements include pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration, RGB-independent Gamma adjustment, fast bright/dark line correction, and multi-batch regulation to unify panels from different production runs. Notably, the MRV532 enables both 90°-increment rotation (0°/90°/180°/270°) and arbitrary-angle screen rotation when paired with the MCTRL R5 controller and SmartLCT software.
The MRV532 communicates via ten standard HUB320F interfaces, supporting up to 40 groups of RGB real-pixel data, 40 groups of 3-lamp dynamic sub-pixel data, or 30 groups of 4-lamp dynamic sub-pixel data. Its maximum loading capacity varies by driver IC type:
- 512 × 512 @ 60 Hz (8-bit source) or 512 × 256 @ 60 Hz (10/12-bit source) for PWM-type ICs
- 512 × 384 @ 60 Hz (8-bit) or 256 × 256 @ 60 Hz (10/12-bit) for general-purpose ICs
For enhanced maintainability, the card offers intelligent module support (with dedicated firmware), enabling automatic storage and recall of calibration coefficients, module IDs, and configuration files from onboard Flash memory. Features like one-touch calibration upload (via box test button during network disconnection) and Mapping 1.1 (displaying controller/receiver IDs on-box) streamline field operations.
Reliability is ensured through multiple redundancy mechanisms: NCP dual backup, loop-back network redundancy, dual configuration storage, and dual firmware images to prevent lock-up during updates.
The MRV532 provides real-time monitoring of its own temperature and voltage, and supports an external LCD module (via 5-pin connector) to display operational stats such as runtime and power conditions. Additional diagnostics include network error packet detection and full parameter/firmware readback.
Electrically, it operates on DC 3.8 V–5.5 V, drawing 0.5 A (typical 2.5 W power). It functions reliably in temperatures from –20°C to +70°C and humidity of 10%–90% RH (non-condensing). Storage temperature range extends to –40°C to +85°C.
Mechanically, the board measures 146.0 × 91.5 × 19.3 mm and weighs 99.5 g. It is certified under RoHS and EMC Class A standards.
In summary, the MRV532 Receiving Card delivers cutting-edge image processing, intelligent maintenance, and enterprise-grade reliability—making it the ideal choice for premium LED displays requiring the highest levels of visual fidelity and operational efficiency.
